Placing An Order -

Do I need to create an account to order?

No. However, creating a Blank Label account is the easiest way to access your order information and manage your sizing and style preferences.  While you don't have to create an account to place an order, we highly recommend it.

Do I need to create an account to re­order?

No. However, should you create an account, your saved sizes can automatically be applied to any future orders.

How can I check the status of my order?

You can check the status of your order by logging into your account. Click the "Login" or "Account" link at the top of  Your order status will appear at the top of your Order History.

How do I change or cancel my order?

If you’d like to make any last-minute changes to the fit or styling of your shirt, send an email request to within 24 hours of placing your order.

How do I redeem my gift certificate?

Redeem your gift certificate on the second page of our checkout process. There will be a section labeled "Gift Card" where you will enter both your Gift Card Number and your PIN.

I am at the checkout but the site is not accepting my credit card, what can I do?

If your payment is being rejected at checkout, try clearing your browser’s cache – or, alternatively, try checking out with a different browser (Firefox and Chrome will work best). If you’re still having trouble, send us a quick email and we’ll be glad to help you along.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept Dwolla.

When are new shirts and fabrics going to be added to the site?

We stock new shirting every six weeks

Can you ship fabric swatches internationally?

No, fabric swatch orders can be shipped inside the US only.

Can you ship gift certificates internationally?

No, gift certificate orders are shipped inside the US only.

Do you ship shirts internationally?

Yes, all domestic and international orders are shipped via DHL.

Which shipping carrier do you use?

We ship all orders with DHL. Because DHL requires signature upon receipt, please be on the lookout for your shipping confirmation email (it will include your tracking number, too).

Garment Care -

The shirt has arrived, what are the care instructions?

Machine-wash your shirt(s) inside out in cold water. Hang dry. Iron on high/cotton setting.

Do my shirts need to be taken to the dry cleaner?

No, we do not recommend dry-cleaning your Blank Label shirts.

Style -

Can I request a specific collar height?

If you’d like to have the back of your collar stand a bit shorter or taller,  just send us a quick e­mail request to

Can I request style features that are not on the website?

Please contact if you have questions about customizations not available on the site.

I like to wear a watch, can I have a custom cuff size?

Yes, we are able to adjust cuff measurements.  Please specify cuff adjustments or other special requests in our box for order notes,  or by emailing after you place your order.

What is the difference between a monogram and a label?

The differences between monograms and labels are their placements and allowable number of characters. You can personalize your shirt with a cuff, pocket or outer-collar monogram with a maximum of 4 characters.  A label (maximum 13 characters) can be placed on either the inside of your collar or on the placket just below your bottom-most shirt button.

What kind of fabrics do you have on the site?

All our fabrics are 100% cotton.  For a more specific breakdown of fabric weight, weave and thread count, feel free to browse here.

When are new shirts and fabrics going to be added to the site?

We typically stock new shirting every six weeks.

Fit -

I'm a first­-time customer ordering multiple shirts. How do you ensure my fit is correct?

When a first time customer orders multiple shirts,  we will super-expedite one shirt ahead of the others in order to confirm your fit.  Once your sizing has been confirmed (or adjusted), we sew and ship the remainder of your order.

Do my shirts come with pleating or darts? Can they be requested?

If your shirts tend to run tight in the upper back, we can add side pleats to give you better range of motion.  If you're athletically built, we can offer back darts to limit excess fabric/bunching in your lower back. 

What is Blank Label's remake policy?

Every first­-time customer is allotted one complimentary remake to correct and improve a shirt's fit. 

I chose the Ask Our Tailors option, where do I find my custom sizes?

Once your order has been placed, we'll convert your Ask Our Tailors survey sizes into custom shirt measurements.  These new shirt measurements won't appear in your order confirmation e­mail,  but they will post to your Blank Label accounts page where they will be saved for future use.

I have an issue with most shirt arm holes, can I enter a custom measurement for that?

Yes – if you know your armhole measurement, send it along to  We'll make sure it's included in your order.

I have measurements from a tailor, can I use those?

Yes, if you know your exact shirt measurements, you can input them via our Know Your Sizes tool.  If you have body measurements (e.g., "36 chest," or "40 waist"),  select I Don't Know My Sizes and enter them in our Ask Our Tailors survey to ensure that these body measurements are converted into shirt measurements.

I like to wear a watch, can I have a custom cuff size?

Yes. We are able to adjust cuff measurements.  Please specify cuff adjustments or other special requests in our box for order notes,  or by emailing after you place your order.

The shirt fits well, but it's too tight/too loose in the upper arm/shoulder. What can I do?

You can adjust both your bicep and armhole measurements through our Request a Remake page in Accounts.  Making small adjustments to these measurements should alleviate any issues in the shoulder and upper arm area.

The shirt fits well but the cuff isn't quite right, can I customize that on my next order?

Absolutely. Cuff sizes can be adjusted through our Request a Remake page in Accounts. 

What measurements do you use for my custom shirt?

Collar, shoulder, sleeve, shirt length, chest, and midsection. Additionally,  we can customize your armhole, bicep, cuff, and hip measurements.

What sizes do I need to know before ordering?

We can determine your custom shirt sizes based on just a few general sizes: Your height, weight, jacket size, and pant (waist) size.  It's helpful for you to also know your collar and sleeve length, though it is not entirely necessary for your first shirt.

Standard shipping is free.  We also offer two options for quicker delivery: 8 business days for super-expedite shipping ($25) and 14 days for expedited shipping ($8).

If I need the shirt rushed, can I pay extra to have it expedited?

We offer two shipping speeds besides our standard free (21-day) delivery: 8 business days for super­expedited shipping ($25) and 14 days for expedited shipping ($8). Orders that require fabric changes may take slightly longer.
